Replacing a Blind Cord Lock
1) With the blind removed from your window, remove the plastic
or wooden cord tassels from the pull cords by cutting the retaining knots.
2) Pull the cords up through the cord lock mechanism in the
headrail, noting their proper path.
3) With the cords clear, unsnap the cord lock and remove.
4) Reinsert the new cord lock, and thread the pull cords back
through the new assembly.
5) Reinstall the blind in the window and test for proper
operation.
6) Reattach cord tassels and knot them to equal length.
Replacing a Blind Tilting Mechanism
1) With the blind removed, slide the horizontal axle shaft out
of the tilter mechanism. Note the notch in the shaft.
2) If a "wand tilt" remove the wand from the tilter;
unsnap tilter from headrail and remove.
3) Replace the new tilter in same position, making sure to line
up the shaft notch.
4) Slide axle shaft back into position, attach tilt wand, and
test tilter operation.
5) Reinstall blind.
How To Replace A Slat In A Blind
1) Leave blind installed in window, in the down/closed position.
2) Remove plastic plugs underneath bottom rail and cut off the
retaining knots, pulling the cord(s) up through the rail and slats until
the damaged slat(s) are free. Leave the ladder cord intact.
3) Slide the damaged slats out of the ladder cords and reinsert
newly purchased slates.
4) Thread the pull-cords back through the slats and bottom rail,
securing with the new knots.
5) Replace the plastic plugs and adjust the level if necessary.
