6. The Punctures
A train was leaving Paris for the southern coast at the same time as a Mercedes. The driver of the Mercedes was unaware that both or the front tires had slow punctures, and by the time the car arrived in Paris those tires were already completely flat. Although the driver did not change or have the tires repaired, the Mercedes reached France at the same time as the train. Explain.

Hints:
The train did not experience unscheduled delays. If the driver had noticed the puncture during the trip, he could not have done anything about them.
